My Dad will be over the moon, ...it is a surprise but he wanted Draggin Jeans for a while...but couldn't justify the spend.

My Dad's a president of a BSA motorcycle club and also a honorary life time member of Diamond Valley Motorcycle Club, which my brother is also a member of. They are both heavily into their gear... Especially Dad obviously, bikes have always been his passion and even at 60 he's pretty impressive in his abilities.

Maureen and "Gusty" Gale from Alexandra, Vic, Aust. hired a Yamaha XVS650 V-Star while here on holidays recently. Since we had been booked to do an all day Harley tour with Jill from the UK as a pillion passenger, Maureen and Gusty were invited to tag along on their rental bike. Gusty rides a R1100RT back home.

We received this letter from them recently.

Hi Dave:

Well just looking at these photos again makes me want to get on that plane and escape back to paradise. It doesn't take long back in the world of work and hassles to make you appreciate it all far more.

I have just posted off a pack of photos to Jill the English girl we went on the ride with and I thought you may like a couple of memory prints as well.

Gee we enjoyed ourselves that day and it was nice for Jill and I to have female company??living in a household of males I certainly get sick of talking motorbikes? revs? gearboxes etc.

You certainly took us through some lovely country? and as you said parts not unlike the Black Spur? except I think the trees are a bit straighter and taller down this way.

I have just had knee surgery, so am off the bike for a short time?. Gusty and I have booked to take the bike over to Tasmania in January with two other BMW couples;  going for a fortnight this year which will be great?.LUV it.

Hope all is going well for you and your family, and that the business is thriving.

Thanks again for a very pleasant day out?.. not to mention some terrific memories on the bike we hired.

Just a quick note to say thankyou for our tour last week. Jed and I had a fantastic time and it was one of the highlights of our visit to Noosa.

Unfortunately our deep sea fishing expedition was a sickly affair, with Jed becoming seasick half an hour into the trip and me becoming seasick about 2 1/2 hours into it. The length of time for the trip was 5 hours so you can imagine what it was like. Luckily Jed fell asleep and probably slept for the better part of the time.

The trip to Fraser was great, but still not comparable to our ride. Thanks again.

I hope you both have a great year, both business and personally and look forward to doing a longer trip next time.

After having toured the USA, South Africa and New Zealand on hired motorcycles before, we decided in 2001 to visit Australia on motorbikes as well. Surfing the Internet for appropriate rental companies, our attention was immediately drawn by Aussie Bikers' professional and very attractive web site. To keep it short : We hired two Harley Davidson motorcycles right away for a self-guided tour of 25 days in January-February 2001 and were not disappointed at all.

We were so impressed by the friendly reception which David and Michelle Pearce gave us, their perfectly running and highly reliable motorcycles as well as by the fact that they booked a bus transfer from Brisbane Airport and accommodation at the very comfortable Offshore Noosa Resort, that we returned to Australia for another motorbike tour in February 2002. Having driven 12,000 kilometres on Aussie Biker motorcycles all over the Australian continent in 2001 and 10,000 km in 2002 without any major incident, we can highly recommend Dave and Michelle's business to all European bikers interested in fulfilling their dream of cruising through a great and infinite country.

I wanted to thank you for making my July 2006 tour of Queensland a fantastic experience. From our first exchange of email to the day you generously offered to lead me out of Noosa to Eumundi I appreciated your honest straightforward advice. As any long-distance biker knows, the planning phase of any tour is often tedious and frustrating. What gear should I pack? What's a realistic itinerary? Will the bike perform up to expectations? On account of your prompt attention to detail, the planning phase of my tour was painless. As a result I couldn't have enjoyed my tour more. Thanks again!

Hi Dave,

I just wanted to let you know that we had a fantastic time riding (May 2009) from Noosa to Cape Tribulation! We got to see some amazing sights, meet more amazing people, and get some great riding in.

It was a real pleasure to meet and deal with you at Aussie Biker. The bike was perfect, and the level of professionalism was second to none. The overall trip couldn't have been better especially the scenery and towns and people along the way.
