The business commenced as a partnership under the original name of Viking Motorcycle Tours and Hire. After 18 months of trading, it was decided that the "Aussie Biker Tours and Rental" name better served and described the purposes of the business. In the year 1999, the partnership changed to a registered company with a new business name of Aussie Biker Tours and Rental Pty Ltd trading as before, as Aussie Biker Tours and Rental. The company ABN is 97 089 710 574. The business continued to expand its number and range of motorcycles as well as market share for inbound fully independent motorcycle tourists to the point where the business quickly out-grew its first two locations. In January 2003 Aussie Biker relocated into a modern, spacious facility in the holiday resort location of Noosa, Qld with showroom, offices and a fully equipped workshop in-house.
October 2007 - The first fully guided MotoGP Tour was run to Phillip Island in 2007. This has now become a regular yearly fixture and follows some of the best motorcycling roads in Australia over six days to get to see the world's best riders in action at one of the world's best MotoGP venues. May 2008 - The Aussie Biker Shop ventures into 'e-commerce' and becomes a fully integrated on-line store continuing to expand its range of products specialising in touring and dual-sport motorcycle products as well as becoming one of the largest stockists of Nolan helmets and Australia's leading importer of AirHawk seat cushions. |
Aussie Biker Tours and Rental Pty Ltd, now trading as Aussie Biker was founded by the current owners David and Michelle Pearce in 1997. David who is a life-long motorcycle nut has an extensive history within the motorcycle industry as a former franchised motorcycle dealer, motorcycle technician and motorcycle sidecar and accessory manufacturer.
August 2007 – The motorcycle accessory retail shop known as the 'Aussie Biker Shop' opened. Comprising an additional area of 110 sq metres built as a mezzanine floor over the main motorcycle rental showroom, the Aussie Biker Shop is a fully stocked retail outlet selling a full range of motorcycle apparel and accessories.
